As the world kicks off 16 days of activism against gender based violence, lobby groups drawn from different sectors led the celebrations in different parts of the country, with calls for concerted efforts in ending gender violence in the country. The Kenyan women parliamentary association wants the government to strengthen laws on gender based violence and femicide in order to deter perpetrators.
