This month, Katie will be joined by Oleg Skulkin, the head of Cyber Threat Intelligence at BI.ZONE, for a presentation and discussion about how leaked ransomware source code is lowering the bar for adversaries. Ransomware-as-a-Service programs and initial access brokers allow even "not very skilled" threat actors to join the big game. At the same time, the fact that lots of people are involved in such attacks has resulted in both ransomware builders and source codes leaks. It allows even more adversaries to have the capability to use such tools in their attacks. We'll look at a few interesting examples of how these leaks were used both by financially motivated and hacktivist groups, as well as related tactics, techniques and procedures
