From Scratch is the new ten song album between Psalm Trees and ALEXANDER. This half-hour listening experience samples and reworks the duo's new jazz album, Spirit of Naima, which is also out today. Treating the live instrumentation as a playground for sample flipping, the two have crafted both a jazz album and a jazzhop album. Showing us how it's done, starting from scratch, one step at a time, from beginning to end. This immersive instrumental hip-hop album is perfect for cooking a meal, pouring some coffee, going on a long walk, embarking on a road trip, or simply kicking your feet up and letting the chill jazz vibes take over, one drum kick at a time.
