Started off with a bass melody in 4/8. With the software I'm using, writing half notes is a little finicky. So it was easier to go to 4/8 and write full notes instead of half notes in 4/4. I really liked the initial bass melody and fiddled with the BPM until I had a really good pacing for it, and ended up with 105 BPM. I didn't pick a key this time, and just went with the flow. Used D, D# F, G, G#, A, A# as my key. Idk, it just worked and sounded good.
