The White House confirms that President Donald Trump plans to leave Friday morning to fly to Rome for the funeral services of Pope Francis. He’ll return Saturday evening, once services are over. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced the president’s travel plans during her briefing with reporters on Tuesday.She did not provide details on if Trump will meet with foreign leaders during the trip, or who might travel with him as part of a U.S. delegation. Leavitt also announced that Trump will travel to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates from May 13 to May 16. He'll be traveling to the Middle East at a time of ongoing tensions with Iran, the Houthis in Yemen and the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.
