A woman witnessed this and stopped her. She knew something must have been wrong for her to be out here selling peanuts at 10pm. It turns out, something was really wrong. Her daughter has cancer and she's trying to make money to pay for her treatment.
Although the daughter is adopted, she still love her nonetheless and you can see it clearly on this elderly woman's face. Perhaps the conversation was overheard by others, when the woman offered to help her sell the peanuts people began buying even though they had just turned her down moments earlier.
Some people say she's a scammer because she wouldn't be the first but the woman didn't mind because even if she was as scammer, she couldn't have made much anyway.
Some people don't want to waste $10 on what they think could be a scammer but that $10 could mean life and death for some people. The woman wants to remind others to be kinder because you never know what they are going through.
