After a five-day trial, it took a jury about an hour to find Terise Powe, 22, guilty Friday in Duval County Circuit Court for possession of a gun by a juvenile. Police found the Jacksonville rapper known as Kshordy on August 3, 2020 shot in the leg after a reported shootout near a convenience store on Norfolk Avenue in Northwest Jacksonville. A juvenile at the time of the crime, Powe was charged with possession of an AR15 that was found 70 yards from him. His DNA was found on the weapon. Powe's attorneys argued the rapper was a victim in the crime. Prosecutors used Powe's song "On Yo Azz" as evidence against him. Powe still faces a 2nd degree murder charge in a separate case where a man was shot to death on Lenox Avenue in September 2021.
