Plot Summary:
Dr. Shyam Verma (Jeetendra) is a renowned heart specialist and a charming playboy who falls in love with an air hostess, Radha (Rekha). Under the influence of alcohol, they become intimate, leading to Radha’s pregnancy. However, Shyam chooses to marry Rukmini (Jaya Prada), leaving Radha heartbroken. She moves to Kashmir and gives birth to Dipinti.
Years later, fate reunites Shyam and Radha, and Rukmini, in a surprising turn, encourages them to reconcile. Dipinti grows up and falls in love with Amit Mehra, but his father, Advocate Mehra, opposes their relationship due to her illegitimacy. As the drama unfolds, unexpected twists lead to heartbreak, sacrifice, and redemption.
In a tragic moment, Rukmini ends her life, leaving behind a final wish for Shyam to marry Radha. The film ends on an emotional note as Dipinti is finally accepted into her rightful place as Amit’s wife.
