These ones though… not so much.
Modlin Airport – Warsaw, Poland
This airport is way outside Warsaw. So far that you have to take a Flixbus to get there. I’m flying there in October from Eindhoven (more on that later 😂) and landing at 22:50. The last Flixbus leaves at 23:15, which gives me just 25 minutes to get off the plane and to the bus. Stressful!
Podgorica Airport – Montenegro
This one’s actually close to the city, but I had to include it for the train connection. I landed late at night and needed to catch the last train to Bar. I ended up walking 30 minutes along the side of a highway in the dark to get to the “Aerodrome Station”. Not ideal.
Stockholm Skavsta Airport – Sweden
This might be the worst in terms of location. It’s never been crowded when I was there, so that part’s fine. But calling it Stockholm Skavsta when it’s 103 km away from the city? Come on…
Eindhoven Airport – Netherlands
Probably the best airport on this list, but I’ve flown from here like 5,000 times and I’m over it. It’s always way too crowded for the number of seats they have. And if you do find one, it’s usually some “modern” bench that gives you back pain. Also, food prices? Outrageous.
Sorry for the rant 😂 I think I’ll stick to trains for a while – much more relaxing than flying!
