I'm joined by an online expat counselor in this video to discuss what is culture shock, some culture shock examples, the key stages of culture shock, recognising those culture shock symptoms and more.
Audrey, who offers online counselling, starts off with a culture shock definition and I chip in about how I've felt across various phases of culture shock. A key part in dealing with culture shock depression is first understanding culture shock, the many forms that it can come in (including reverse culture shock) and accepting what can and cannot be changed.
