Would you want to live for 150 years? Or even longer? It might soon be possible. Scientists all over the world are looking into extending human life. Our documentary ‘More life - Decoding the secret of aging’ tackled the questions whether the aging process can be scientifically halted - or even reversed, and age-related illnesses like cancer, dementia and heart problems eradicated. In the online panel discussion ‘The Future of Aging: How Long Do You Want to Live?’, we will discuss the science behind how extending life works, but also look into possible ethical, psychological, socioeconomic or ecological consequences that might occur if human beings could live longer. Join us for the discussion on March 3, 2023, at 17:30 (CET) / 16:30 (UTC).
DW Documentary host Thomas Hasel will explore the topic together with:
Lisa Fabiny-Kiser, CEO at SENS Research Foundation
Dr. Ravi Jain, VP of Research at SENS Research Foundation
Prof. Dr. Silke Schicktanz, University of Göttingen
Prof. Dr. phil. Hans-Jörg Ehni, University of Tübingen
Martin Koddenberg, Director of ‘More Life’
Dr. Dieter Roser, Commissioning Editor at DW
