I composed “Festival of Praise” for the 50th anniversary Jubilee celebration weekend at Philadelphia Romanian Church of God, Chicago, on October 20-22, 2023.

The piece is written for Classical Guitar, Violin, Oboe, and Bassoon. It is composed in a Baroque style with lots of counterpoint and some occasional solo and duo playing.

What you see in the video is our first live performance, at the first Jubilee service at Philadelphia church. Recording acoustic instruments live is usually a challenge so please watch the video with that in mind.

I would say that the level of proficiency for this composition is late-intermediate to advanced, perhaps an advanced high school ensemble or an intermediate college ensemble.
