The Year That Left Me" is my 17th singleโa new darkwave track (and video) I created right here in my home studio. The video was recorded with the idea of keeping it raw, spontaneous, personal, anti-mainstream, lo-fi, and DIYโrejecting shallow, high-budget mainstream gloss. This song has haunted me for years. It's based on a personal real-life experience, and in a way, I guess it's a story we all share, one that stays with us forever.
