This Video as part of the HPCC Systems developer video series explores setting up HPCC Systems logging to use the Kibana Elastic Stack log management suite. In this video the Developer explains the ease of setting up the Elastic Stack to manage the logging for HPCC Systems. The Elastic Stack can be deployed simply by issuing a single Helm command, as demonstrated in the video, assuming that the HPCC Systems Helm repository has been previously added. Once the Helm command has been successfully executed, the logging information begins to flow from the HPCC Systems containers to the newly created Elastic Stack search index. The video then briefly discusses some of the features which are now available through the Elastic search index, including performing queries, filtering, and sorting. The video continues on to show how to make these logs available to HPCC Systems in order to allow the logs access through the user interface ECL watch. This is also accomplished using another single Helm command deploying the provided elastic4hpcclogs-hpcc-logaccess.yaml file which connects the Elastic Stack to the HPCC Systems logging framework allowing HPCC Systems ECL Watch to display the log information.
