This week we’re wrapping up the song I’ve been crafting over the last 7 episodes of The Joy of Recording, and I’m going to give you a crash course on my approach to MIXING. This topic is DEEP, but I’ve done my best to give you a philosophical and technical overview of how I get it done.
One of the hidden benefits of learning about mixing is that it shapes how you approach sounds throughout the recording process. Rather than just throwing a bunch of stuff together in the arrangement and “figuring it out later”, you’ll begin to “mix as you go”. This makes you a stronger musician and producer over all!
