One of these porches will become a landing for deck stairs, but for now it works great as a porch pad!Rake out the stone base to slope away from the house at least 1/8” per foot, so when you set the pad it will also slope away and shed water.
You can get even more creative when it comes to casting leftover concrete - think about future stairs, benches, or footing pads you might need.
