This is probably the most varied weekly album playlist I’ve ever put together – the odds of anyone liking everything in it are practically zero! From Jethro Tull’s Roots to Branches to Metallica’s 72 Seasons, Loreena McKennitt’s mystical folk to Philip Glass’s Einstein on the Beach, Motörhead to Max Richter… and even Tibetan overtone singing recorded at 2 a.m. in a Paris monastery.
Some of these are long-time favourites, others I’d never heard before this week. All of them have been part of my musical landscape over the last few days, helping me through life’s ups and downs.
