Synopsis:
Gandhigiri follows the story of Rai Saheb (Om Puri), an NRI who returns to India, deeply committed to the principles of Mahatma Gandhi. Inspired by his father’s involvement in the freedom struggle, Rai Saheb strongly believes that Gandhian values of truth, non-violence, and honesty are still relevant in today’s world.
Upon his arrival, he meets four individuals who have gone astray due to different life circumstances:
✔ Bakait Singh (Sanjay Mishra) – A small-time goon
✔ Bansi (Brijesh Karniwal) – A struggling man with criminal tendencies
✔ Kranti Pandey (Anupam Shyam) – A corrupt politician
✔ Natvarlal (Mukesh Tiwari) – A conman
Using Gandhian principles, Rai Saheb guides them toward redemption, proving that honesty and peace can still transform lives. The film emphasizes that despite modern society’s flaws, Gandhiji’s teachings remain relevant and can lead to positive change.
