Engineers are highly valuable resources, and their time shouldn’t be spent on repetitive tasks. In this video, we’ll show you how the Logix Designer SDK can help automate those tasks within Studio 5000 Logix Designer.

We begin by explaining what an SDK is and how the Studio 5000 Logix Designer SDK includes an API and documentation to help developers automate common tasks. Then, using Visual Studio, we demonstrate an example application that uses the Logix Designer SDK to automate the process of upgrading a project and performing regression tests to ensure the project still works after the update.

This automation reduces repetitive work, ensures consistency, and frees up engineers to focus on more valuable projects.
