Things were very different
in metal’s early year
you could leave your day job

Seven hours in a bar every night on tour is not my idea of fun
I like traveling with my pals, but enough, hell with this, I’m done
I could be sitting at home with Netflix, relaxing while I draw up some art
Instead of being miserable and breathing in your smoke while bashing my head apart

Dudes are sick of listening to me whine
These guys want to tour all of the time
I’ll run things behind the scenes and write more songs but
as for shows, you’re out of luck, find someone who’s a better fit
