On Sunday’s episode of Global National, one person is dead and another has been left with serious injuries after a CF Snowbird jet crashed in a residential area in Kamloops, B.C., during the team's cross-country tour. Mercedes Stephenson reports.

Meanwhile in the U.S., 11 firefighters have been injured in a huge explosion and fire in downtown Los Angeles, Calif. As Jennifer Johnson reports, the heat from the blast was hot enough to melt equipment.

Plus, as more parts of the country begin to reopen businesses and public spaces, many Canadians are itching for more freedom from the pandemic. As Mike Drolet reports, new polling suggests large events like concerts and major sporting events are at the bottom of the list.

And as lobster season begins, seafood processors in New Brunswick are struggling to stay afloat due to a labour shortage after the province banned temporary foreign workers due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As Ross Lord reports, there are fears that industry losses could be enormous.

Across the border, the Navajo Nation, which spans three states, has been especially hard hit by the novel coronavirus. Reggie Cecchini explains why efforts to control the virus are being hindered by a lack of resources.

Churches, mosques and other places of worship are either closed or are seeing fewer worshipers due to the pandemic. However, as Redmond Shannon reports, COVID-19 hasn't stopped the faithful from finding ways to adapt in order to continue practicing their beliefs.
