I had been wanting to get some new minimalist shoes for awhile, and when I saw the nexus knit by @xeroshoes I knew wanted to try them. I personally like wearing flat bottom shoes (or no shoes at all) when playing drums for live music events. A comfortable sneaker with some style is usually my go too. I reached out to Xero shoes and was excited to receive the golden nexus knit. They are COMFORTABLE. I love the color yellow, and shades of gold… and these were just in time for the Autumn season and I think a pair of green ones will be just right for the winter 😎😇
Rhythm… I believe honestly it’s at the center of all that we are, and who we are called to be; creatures made in the image of God. From, our heartbeat, breathing, moving, thought patterns and processes… it all has a rhythm to adhere to or a consequence they are born from. This was a fun collaboration.
I weaved my breathing, sounds of the jump rope, heartbeat created by a stethoscope and geophone mic, some foley overdubbed shoe action together to create this small nod to “rhythm.”
