Todays Video is on the gardening rules of Plant Cloning Tips - Top 5 golden garden tips involved in rooting or growing plants from cuttings - Rules of Plant cloning – that’s the vegetative or asexual method of plant propagation. Coming up.

To achieve highest success rate, please follow these rules or tips to grow roses or any plant from stem cuttings and especially for those newbie gardeners or for those who always fail to grow from cuttings - that is cloning from cuttings.
Rule 1: Always choose TIP CUTTINGS – these are cuttings taken from the the growing ends of the stem or a branch which contain few new small growing leaves. Do not choose woody cuttings – use semi wood or soft cuttings as a general rule for beginners.
Rule 2: Keep the CUTTING ANGLE to 45 degrees while taking a cutting. This is a proven and a universal technique for any plant for high success rate for rooting.
Rule 3: WOUND/ STRIP the part of the stem which goes into the soil. You can strip the bark with a clean cutting tool or even scrape this part slightly if it’s a soft cutting. Wounding causes the plant to secrete the hormones auxins, which promote root development.
Rule 4: REMOVE LEAVES at the bottom one-half to two-thirds of the cutting and leave the young leaves at the top. You can also make half cuts on the leaves and this method also believed to release auxins into the stem for rooting.
Rule 5: Last, but not the least, whenever available, dip the bottom of the cutting into a rooting hormone powder for best results. Check out my video on What is a Rooting hormone from a card linked at top right corner of this video and also in description.
And Next coming to 3 more bonus tips to follow:
1. Always Keep the cuttings away from direct sunlight, because they do not have roots and enough moisture to keep them hydrated.
2. Cover the plants with a clear plastic bag to maintain a high-humidity environment which favours root development faster.
3. The last tip for beginners is to start cuttings with some herbaceous or succulent plants which are really easy to grow.
