In this video, I’ll show you step by step how I built a soundproof drywall system to block out noisy neighbors. Below is the full list of materials used in the project—each one carefully selected to maximize acoustic insulation:
Acoustic membrane: Tecsound FT 55 (2 rolls – 13.2 m²)
Adhesive: 5 kg contact glue
Acoustic mounts: SE-TMT/50 R from SENOR
Metal framing:
Channel 48/30 – 3 m
Stud 48/36 – 2.5 m
Insulating panel: Mineral wool Arena APTA 45 mm
Drywall panel: Standard BA-15 by Knauf (15 mm thick)
This system is designed to enhance the acoustic insulation of an existing wall without sacrificing much usable space. The combination of heavy membrane, mineral wool, acoustic mounts like the SE-TMT/50 R, and double-layer drywall ensures a notable soundproofing improvement.
