DUNE: Part Two - Main Theme (Piano Version)

Some of you have been asking for it, now you get it! This piano version is based on the tracks "A Time of Quiet Between the Storms", "Beginnings Are Such Delicate Times", "Kiss the Ring", "Only I Will Remain" and "Never Lose Me". Just like with the first DUNE soundtrack, I had my doubts at first whether the original music could translate to piano. The soundtrack is once again very atmospheric, the main theme consists of just eight notes, and it's difficult to identify a clear meter or rhythm. Perhaps, though, that's also why Hans Zimmer has once again managed to create such a unique and emotional soundtrack. Although the new soundtrack also features the familiar musical themes from Part One, I focused solely on the new and prominently used main melody in Part Two. More specifically, this is a love theme that reflects the relationship of the two main characters, Paul and Chani. Fun Fact: The theme was already briefly and inconspicuously heard in the bagpipe scene in the first film. The corresponding track "House Atreides" can be found in Hans Zimmer's "The Dune Sketchbook" from 2021 and already contains the entire melody in a long and similar form to that heard in the second film.
