The Pointers did R&B and COUNTRY music in the 70s, can u believe it??????? Then they got into more and more DANCE MUSIC in the 80s. This song is more like a country song with an r&b touch. Strange, but it works ;-) Luv this song!!!

Their first "big hit" was a cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Fire". It was one of the biggest hits of 1979. Ironic why they would release a song like that in 1979 since DISCO was THE only kind of pop music that could sell that year! LOL
