'Landslide' is a song by the British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, written and performed by Stevie Nicks in 1975. While working as a waitress and cleaning lady to financially support herself and Lindsey Buckingham, Nicks revealed that she was contemplating whether to go back to school or continue her career with guitarist Lindsey Buckingham when she wrote this song. After the release of their debut album 'Buckingham Nicks', they were dropped by Polydor Records before they could release a follow-up. Nicks composed the song while visiting Aspen, Colorado, "looking out at the Rocky Mountains and thinking about everything crashing down." She recalled that her life truly felt like a 'landslide' at that moment.
