When I first heard the theme for Captain Marvel I wasn't too keen on it, it sounded a little generic but it's definitely grown on me.

I have a very different relationship with these themes than most average MCU fans. I have to dissect and analyse every single part of it and I get to hear all of the nuances and different parts, so I have a bit more appreciation of the themes. I personally loved all of the backing elements of this one that you don't necessarily hear on the first listen, the synth backing parts were a lot of fun to play and they certainly played a big part in the soundtrack.

The film was better than I expected, I only watched the first trailer so a lot of the plot was new to me and the twists were actually surprising in some ways. I am a big fan of the MCU but I generally only learn more about the comic origins and stories after seeing the films so I didn't really know anything about the Kree or Skrulls apart from the few things I've seen in trailer analysis videos.
