I would say that when someone starts a journey, first of all, they should have a strategy. What we do is we try to follow others' strategies. We try to follow others' timetable. So, we shouldn't do that. We should analyze ourselves, where we are strong and where we are not. And what can be my timetable? What strategy will suit me? According to that. And one more thing that I personally feel is that we focus on giving and giving. It happens at the preparation level. But at the mental level, you need to prepare yourself for everything. Self-belief is a very major thing which a lot of people ignore. Yes, sir. Self-belief. You should have self-confidence. And you should be ready to deal with all types of uncertainty. Especially in prelims and mains. Because whatever happens, we will face it.

UPSC Civil Services Exam is one of the most prestigious exams in the country. It has three parts, the Prelims exam, the Main exam and the Personality test, which you need to clear in order to become an IAS or IPS officer. All other Group A services of the Government of India recruit people through the UPSC Civil services exam itself and because of this, there is a lot of competition in this exam. Hence, your UPSC preparation should be strategic, informed and well planned.

Your UPSC preparation should not be based on blind adherence to any program. Rather you should give a thought about how your are preparing.
