The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and Kirill Karabits are back, bringing with them a brilliant young musician, Norwegian trumpeter Tine Thing Helseth. She’ll be matching her sparkling personality to Haydn's fizzing, virtuosic Trumpet concerto. Guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.
Romance is in the air, next, for Bruckner's burnished, epic 1874 Fourth Symphony. Its opening few minutes alone gradually unfurling to reveal some of the 19th century's most ravishing music. But – the whole work is packed full of beauty and drama with references to medieval Romanticism, including forest murmurs, hunting calls and knights on horseback. An hour of pure adventure.
