In early autumn we ventured to Salem, Massachusetts, which is a haven for witches of all descriptions. We were searching for the Sanderson sisters from the 1993 Disney movie “Hocus Pocus.” And while we may not have found the sisters themselves, we followed their footsteps through the town, from the high school where Max first learns about the Sanderson sisters to the Old Town Hall where Winifred Sanderson serenades (and bewitches) the partying adults; from Allison’s house and Max’s house to the living history museum known as Salem Pioneer Village, where Thackery Binx lived back in the 1600s. We ended our trip at the Old Burial Hill in Marblehead, where the “Salem” cemetery scenes were filmed. Join us on our latest adventure, just in time for Halloween.Visit Hocus Pocus locations:
