In 2014, the first batch of 437 sets of remains of Chinese volunteer martyrs returned to their homeland, allowing the martyrs who had been away from their country for over 60 years to finally come home. 71 years ago, those soldiers as young as flowers entered the anti-American and aid-Korean battlefield. Some came back, while others forever remained on that land. "1950 They Were Young" focuses on the ordinary young people who joined the anti-American and aid-Korean efforts 71 years ago from a fresh perspective. Through real-life accounts from veterans of different military branches who fought at different times, it presents their once passionate youth and dreams with simple and subtle words. It also reconstructs the most authentic battlefield, bringing a stirring and resonant impact to contemporary young people. The best way to remember is to never forget.
