In this tutorial we’ll be creating an underwater vfx shot, with a CG seabed, water particles fx, volume fog for the limited visibility under water, and caustics generated using a Fast Noise texture. This texture is then projected onto geometry using a catcher material, and the result is quite realistic if I may say so myself.

I am using the Blackmagic Fusion Standalone application, but everything I do here can be done in the Fusion page of DaVinci Resolve.
Hopefully you’ll find this useful!
