Episode 6 of The Grudge.A message from Luke(show concept):
I want to articulate the reason we’ve decided to create this show. While some feel that “platforming” a figure like Isabella Moody is necessarily harmful, I see it as a valuable opportunity to confront a destructive ideology(if handled correctly). As I’ve said before, how do we defeat harmful ideas if we don’t confront them? Unfortunately, my one-off debates with other MAGA figures don’t seem to move the needle given their brevity. So now we’re giving something else a try: a weekly chance to clash with a right-winger.
The last two years in this business have taught me that the views and indecency Isabella exhibits are unfortunately all too common. Additionally, we keep learning that staying in our echo-chambers isn’t effective at moving people. So that’s what this show is all about. Diving into the deep end. It’s also what my appearances on other shows outside of my comfort zone are about.
To those of you who have written in support about the concept, I appreciate it greatly. To those of you who hate it, I just ask that you understand my mission/intentions. Thank you all!
