recently picked up an emulator 3xp... it's pretty rad. spent a bit reading the manual and created a fairly simplistic atmospheric dnb track. unfortunately, the IIIxp does not support recycle (or any scsi transfer as far I know), so you're stuck with an early 90s non-recycle workflow. I have heard whispers of some ancient mac software that E-MU made for this... but honestly, this thing is pretty easy to use just from the front panel.
the vertical data slider is ridiculous and annoying to use though, apparently e-mu felt they needed to re-invent the data wheel/encoder.
track was recorded and sequenced with ableton via multiple outputs. the 3xp does not have any built-in fx, so i used the quadraverb hardware, valhalla vintageverb vst, and ableton's stock echo/delay. bounced into a sony dual cassette deck because why not.
