The Kwara State Government, in collaboration with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), is investing $57.2 million to enhance livestock production and rural development.Under the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone (SAPZ), the project will build dairy and meat processing infrastructure, supporting over 5,000 rural farmers. SAPZ Coordinator, Dr. Busari Isiaka, praised Kwara's efforts in securing counterpart funding to ensure the project’s success.
Key initiatives include Agricultural Transformation Centres for milk and beef processing, which aim to strengthen the agricultural value chain, attract investors, and improve food security.
