Subcooled water is a liquid that has a temperature below its crystallization temperature at a given pressure. Subcooled liquids retain their aggregate state at temperatures lower than their crystallization temperature at a given pressure.
Supercooled water is one of the unstable states of a liquid. Water at a pressure of 760 millimeters of mercury and a temperature of 0 °C turns into ice.
