Ngoc Lan is a creative and versatile DJ known for blending genres. Born in Switzerland with Vietnamese roots, she began her musical journey as a child, studying piano and opera. In 2002, she moved to New York working with Rawkus Records and collaborating with the greatest beatmakers and rappers of the east coast scene (Mos Def, Hi-Tek, Pharoahe Monch). Back in Switzerland, she acquired new weapons: two turntables, a mixer and a vinyl collection. Hip hop, beats, house, electronica: a wide and sharp palette reflecting her already highly developed musical culture.
With 20 years of experience, passing through the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Henz Club in Seoul, at the Worldwide Festival in Leysin or even at the Boiler Room in Verbier for the Polaris Festival, Ngoc Lan is also on air on Couleur 3 in 2017 with Astrolab. Her show on the national radio station explores black music and allows her to experiment like a musical laboratory. Find her also once a month on Kasheme radio.
