Broken Toys - Angels On Horseback (1987) - US Goth Rock / Post Punk

From their debut album 'The Cuts Of Memory' released in 1987 on 'Bite Records'.

Formed at UOP in Stockton, California in 1984. They started life as a cover band, gaining popularity within their local area. As the locals would have had to travel to LA or San Francisco to hear the new music of the day, Broken Toys tapped into an unfilled demand for new music in the area and began playing sets often.

The in the summer of 1985, having felt they had reached their cover band potential, they began to write and record their own material. This led to their debut album ‘The Cut Of Memory’ releasing in 1987. It is an Alt-Rock album with a definite Goth Rock / Post Punk style. They released 2 singles after this featuring songs from their album. The band broke up in 1989. Though not successful in their endeavours they played over 600 shows, creating many memories and friends along the way. In 2012, Broken Toys reunited for one night to celebrate the 25th anniversary of ‘The Cut Of Memory’.
