The Fehrbelliner Reitermarsch, also Kaiser-Wilhelm-Marsch, is a cavalry march. It was composed in 1893 by the royal Prussian music director Richard Henrion as one of four fanfare marches; the other three marches were the crusader fanfare, Hie guet Brandenburg allewege! and Under the Rafter Shield. It is a regimental march of various Bundeswehr associations. Since the end of the German Empire in 1918, it has been sung as a popular song with the line "We want our old Kaiser Wilhelm back", and the further text "but the one with the beard, with the long beard" made it clear that the Subtext refers to Wilhelm I (1797–1888). In this context, the Fehrbelliner equestrian march is referred to as the Kaiser Wilhelm March.
