There aren't many options, if you want to film (or shoot) underwater little critters. ...Unless you are willing to use special purpose lenses and it is possible to adjust everything manually! Otherwise, to get the benefit of your camera auto focus, and aperture adjustment, you'll have to stick to a 100 mm (ish) Macro lens, like Nikon 105 Micro, Canon 100, or Sony 90.
This shot was produced with Nikon D810, Nikon 105 Micro VR 2.8, and Nauticam SMC-2.
The subject is a skeleton shrimp (Caprellidae sp.). Its overall size is nearly 2 cm, and here you can even see the blood pumping in its veins.
Shot around -27 metres in Tulamben (Bali, Indonesia).
