Having a stock of recycled wood is great when you have an idea and you just want to get stuck into it straight away. Spotted some new wood on the wood pile that was ready to be crushed. At first glance it looked like pinewood but was really heavy. On closer inspection it was just MDF with a vaneer and it had been out in the rain for a while but we still managed to save most of it and bagged a load of different sized screws when taking it apart. Williams toys were just stored in the corner of the room so we wanted a simple unit for storing his smaller boxes in. It turned out great and the top has doubled up for a space for storage and as table space for playing and art. Total cost of this build was zero and everything used was recycled including the screws.
