
I should start by saying these are both excellent guitars for the money – at €249, the HB-35 Plus is simply a bit of a steal, while the Ibanez Artcore range is stuffed full of top quality semi-acoustics, the AS73FM being the most affordable (mine cost me about €399 when I bought it new).

I ran the two guitars into my Hughes & Kettner Black Spirit 200 head, using my Greer Lightspeed for the overdrive and my Revv G3 for the heavy distortion sounds. The amp went from the Red Box DI straight into my Focusrite Scarlett 2i4, which went into Logic Pro X. That's it. No post-processing on the sounds was done.
