The 16th BRICS summit saw the unveiling of a new global payment system, known as BRICS Pay. This payment system was created as an alternative to the Western payment system, SWIFT. While countries of the Global South and those affiliated with BRICS, are excited at this new technology, the West, of course, is not happy with the development. The US in particular has even made threats because BRICS' new payment system is an obvious threat to the dominance of the US dollar. The actions of the US are indicative of the fact that the authorities and top gun are scared of the momentum of the De-dollarization campaign.

You see, when BRICS was established in 2009, the West never gave it any attention. The United States in particular deemed it an insignificant economic organization that could never be a threat to them in any way. So-called international analysts and experts said that BRICS can never be as organized and united as the European Union to achieve any significant goal or purpose. They said its members are too antagonistic towards one another and so can never achieve anything. However, this seemingly insignificant organization has grown to become a threat to the economic power of the United States. The interesting thing is that, it has now become so obvious, that the United States and Europe cannot help but be aware of it and, they are literally freaking out.
