⭐ Cavey Nik:
Nik has been running events / promoting live music / DJing since the mid 90s. His most (in)famous event is Dead and Buried (LDN) which he started in the early 00's inspired initially by the Deathrock events such as Release the Bats and Ghoul School from the USA. At the time, Goth clubs, certainly in the UK, were "Trad Goth/EBM" only, with very few surprises or scope for expansion. Nik felt this was somewhat limiting. He has DJ'd across the UK at gigs /club nights and across Europe at such prestigious events such as Under Cover of Darkness, Gothic Pogo Party (a close partner), Le Klub, Undead Club, WGW, When We Were Young, Minicave, and also Drop Dead Festival (Europe & USA) and more! He has showcased many bands in London from Europe and the USA. He loves the DIY ethos and has stuck with his vision and style, culminating in being a major influence on numerous contemporaries . Musical styles? This ranges from Deathrock to Minimal Wave , Gothabilly, 80s NDW, Goth Rock, Electropunk, Classics, and occasionally Old School EBM, with often an emphasis on non English speaking acts. His party mantra is "Don't stop! Keep going!" And "just how far can the Goth tag be pushed?" Dead and Buried is on a bit of a hiatus currently, the UK is quite tough if you want to put on live bands from out of the country at this time, but there are plans afoot for 2025! Nik DJ's occasionally at Club Monster Queen and Slimelight in London, and at the new regular Deathrock party, CATACOMBS CLUB and will also be DJ'ing at Gothic Pogo Festival on May 17th and also Minicave later in the year, as well as other events throughout 2024.
