Stage and television actress best known for her role as Major Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan on M*A*S*H. Loretta Swit was nominated for best supporting actress in each of the show's eleven seasons, from 1972-1983, and won two Emmys. Swit and Alda were the only actors to have been in both the pilot episode and the finale. Ms. Swit passed away at her home in New York City this morning, likely of natural causes, at the age of 87.
