The Mission was a short lived band in spring 1984, resulting from a merger of members of Resistance and Perfect Disaster (previously Architects of Disaster). Their members were Boyd Sim (vocals), Pete Witney (guitar), Gary Wisker (sax), as well as Paul Wright (guitar), Tony Pettitt (bass), and Nod Wright (drums). When they disbanded, the latter four carried on together, added Carl McCoy as new vocalist, and soon took on the name Fields of the Nephilim. The Mission's 'Is It Real' is a new version of the Perfect Disaster song by the same name and became Darkcell in Fields of the Nephilim.
