The two most popular are Tonga and French Polynesia. We swam with humpbacks at both and had incredible experiences. Our tour operators made sure to follow all regulations as to respect the animals and we were the only boat in sight! (A big key is making sure not to go peak season because I have heard it can be particularly crowded in French Polynesia).
😭 The big negatives with any wildlife experience to remember is they are wild animals so no experience is guaranteed. Also the weather plays a huge part in it as well. Not to mention, the best places to swim with them are some of the most remote places in the world. You could fly half way around the world for only a few seconds.
🤗 Remember "low expectations lead to great vacations." It doesn't rhyme but it's definitely true. If you have enough time and a little luck it is an unforgettable experience! 😱
