This week, we’re celebrating two special moments: Mexico’s Independence Day and the start of Latin Heritage Month. To honor these occasions, DJ Pax, Humano Sound’s very own executive producer, has crafted a special mix filled with Mexican classics that capture the spirit, pride, and joy of our heritage.For Pax’s second set, he presents an anthology of Mexican songwriting mostly ranging from 1960s to 1980s. From Juan Gabriel to Tomás Méndez, the classic Mexican themes take form in the genre Norteño & Mariachi. Many of these songs have been reinterpreted countless times and can still be heard today, some themes include heartbreak, immigration, regional pride, as well as animated stories told in the early stages of corridos & rancheras.
