Budka Suflera - Ona przyszła prosto z chmur 1980 (Poland, Symphonic Prog)


The fourth album from Lublin. As an added bonus - the original version of "Sun somehow less ..." (Słońca jakby mniej), dedicated to the memory of the singer Anna Jantar, who died in a plane crash March 14, 1980 ... Also changed the lyrics "Tyle z tego masz", which was written before the crash and began with the words "Na pasie startowym już światła migają" (already on the runway flashers ...). And the album title can be translated as "She came straight from heaven" ...Budka Suflera (Prompt Box) officially formed in 1974 in Lublin, Poland, though their history dates back to 1969. From 1971 to 1974 band was playing at the Juliusz Osterwa Theatre in Lublin, where probably their name came from. The first line-up consisted of Krzysztof Cugowski (vocals), Romuald Lipko (piano, keyboards, bass guitar), Andrzej Ziółkowski (guitar), Tomasz Zeliszewski (percussion). This line-up lasted from 1974 to 1977, when they released two progressive albums:

1975 - Cień wielkiej góry (Shadow of a Big Mountain)
1976 - Przechodniem byłem między wami... (I've Been a Passerby Among You)

In 1977 vocalist Krzysztof Cugowski left the band to start solo career. In 1980 Budka Suflera with new vocalist Romuald Czystaw released the album ''Ona przyszła prosto z chmur'' (''She Came from the Clouds'') - the last album with some progressive elements, though clearly going towards pop. Through the years, the music of Budka Suflera has been changing, from Progressive Rock, through New Wave, Hard Rock and eventully to Pop Rock.

Krzysztof Cugowski returned to the band in 1984, and stayed for good. The current (2010) line-up consists of Krzysztof Cugowski (vocal), Romuald Lipko (keyboards), Tomasz Zeliszewski (percussion), Łukasz Pilch (guitar), Mirosław Stępień (bass guitar), Piotr Kominek (keyboards).
